Send the request to the Colorado County or Texas custodian that holds the requested material:

- Class A and B misdemeanor files: County Clerk, 318 Spring Street, Room 103, Columbus, TX 78934; 979-732-2155; weekdays 8-noon and 1-5
- Sheriff reports, booking, and jail records: Administration and Records, 2215 Walnut Street, Columbus, TX 78934; 979-732-2388; fax 979-732-6431
- Statewide criminal history: Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division and its official public or fingerprint channels
- City police reports: contact Columbus, Eagle Lake, or Weimar directly when that department created the report
- Expunction filings: file with the proper court clerk under the current Texas process
The sheriff's main number reaches Administration and Records; select option 2 when the question is current jail custody. Put a Texas Public Information Act request in writing, since a phone inquiry alone is not a formal request.
