Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of content on Colorado County Criminal History. Continuing to browse means accepting them. Anyone who does not agree should stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated site has no government affiliation. It and its advertising partners do not offer a service for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Colorado County and Texas record references are provided for general research. This is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site is independent of every government office. It does not store official records, conduct an official check, retrieve files, or submit paperwork.

Its role is to identify Colorado County sheriff and court sources, Texas DPS, TDCJ, the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and optional outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is allowed only if you agree not to:

  • Use bots, scrapers, or another automated collection tool
  • Interfere with performance or another visitor's access
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any system
  • Harass, threaten, or stalk a person with information found here
  • Use site content for a hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decision
  • Violate a local, Texas, or federal law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this site or a linked tool must not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate. Misuse may also violate law. Texas Public Sex Offender Registry data is for public safety awareness, not vigilantism or retaliation against a listed person.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and create no consumer report, credit report, or official background check. Data from this site or any linked tool may not be used to:

  • Evaluate credit or calculate an insurance premium
  • Assess a renter or other housing applicant
  • Make an employment decision
  • Decide eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A lawful regulated check must come from Texas DPS or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA and other applicable law.

5. No Legal Advice

General Colorado County record information is not legal advice. A licensed Texas attorney should evaluate how a warrant, charge, conviction, expunction, or nondisclosure law applies to specific facts.

6. No Warranties

All material is offered "as is," without a guarantee that:

  • An outside search provider's result will be complete or correct
  • Every fact will remain current, accurate, and complete
  • The site will operate without an interruption
  • Pages will contain no bug, error, or security weakness

Charges, dispositions, restrictions, fees, and access systems can change. Gaps or delays may occur, and no page is an official statement by a Colorado County or Texas agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

External links may open a sheriff, clerk, Texas agency, legal resource, or search provider that we do not operate. Its content, price, privacy practices, availability, and terms are its own responsibility.

8. Intellectual Property

Colorado County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required to copy, alter, distribute, or create derivative material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the greatest extent allowed by law, we disclaim liability for loss caused by using the site or relying on material from it or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, proceedings, legal fees, and related costs arising from your use or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. A dispute related to site use must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms may be posted at any time and become effective when they appear here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder continues in force, and the affected term is narrowed only as needed.
